This came from a friends blog and I thought it sounded fun.

Cabin fever

So I have this problem, I stay home with the kids all week long (Which I am not complaining about) and ususally if I get out of the house it is to play outside for a little while or running to the grocery store with the kids in tow. Matt works all week long and is busy and gone for most of the week. So here is the problem... by Friday I want to get out of the house and do something and Matt just wants to stay home and relax. We are not quite on the same page. Any suggestions?? Maybe something that we can do together as a family, but not something overwhelming or really expensive (Budget is tight). I would love to hear from any of you!!

Holiday weekend

So I am really trying hard to keep my blog updated, sometimes the kids try harder to keep me from doing it. I have thought about my blogging and have realized that it is a sort of journaling, a way to preserve memories and thoughts. So with that realization, I really need to try harder to write more so I can keep a good "Journal". Well I am finally putting up pictures from the 4th of July. They aren't the best pictures, but I have decided with little kids it is sometimes better to just have them in the picture than not, even if they aren't smiling. Parker did not want to be in the picture. He was more interested in playing. We had a good day with family. It wasn't too exciting, we got together and had a barbeque and then visited for a little while. Matt and I left early and came home to just relax. I didn't even watch fireworks (how unpatriotic am I). Matt had to work all day on Saturday and I was left with the kids all day long!!!! Those days seem really long. But I survived and the rest of the weekend was pretty uneventful. One of these days when we aren't living paycheck to paycheck and don't have student loans, I think we will do some traveling and have a lot more fun. Meanwhile we are living day to day and try to enjoy the little moments in life. I have worked on a few scrapbooks online and I am tring to catch up on the many pictures I have. I can't wait to get the final product in the mail to see how they turned out. I really do feel blessed to be a wife and mother and that I am able to stay home with my children and hopefully one day they will realize that as a blessing as well. I am grateful to Matt for all his hard work and for the things he provides our family with each day. We really are a lucky family.
I was reading a friends blog and found an article that talked about a lady that didn't believe in procreation. She thought that having children was bad for the environment and believed by not having children she is doing her part to save the environment. Well let me just say that she is missing out incredibly on one of the greatest miracles in life. I am so grateful to have experienced 2 great miracles in my life so far!!! And without procreation there will be no people to inhabit the earth anyways, so what good does that do. This doesn't mean that I don't agree with conservation efforts and people doing their part to stop pollution and live greener lives. I just think that you have to teach your children while they are young to not be wasteful and that will save many gerations in years to come. (I hope this all makes sense, if not you can skip it. I am just rambling to myself.) I am blessed by the Lord to be able to have children and I will do my part to raise them and love them to the best of my ability.

4th of July

We are excited to have a day to celebrate together as a family. I was a little bummed that we were unable to go to California for a family reunion on my mom's side, but since we have 2 young kids, and Matt is busy with school, work and lawn's, we decided that we should wait and go when the kids are a little bit older. We want to be able to go to Disneyland and maybe Sea World and we want them to be old enough to ride the rides and somewhat remember the vacation. Maybe in a few years. We are also bummed that we will not be going to Island Park with Matt's family. He has to work this weekend. But I guess we will have a fun day on Friday. Matt is planning on going golfing (His summer obsession) and then we are getting together with my sister for an afternoon barbeque. It should be fun if we can make it through the heat wave. It is supposed to get to 95 degrees. HOT!!!! I am planning on taking pictures of the kids in red, white, and blue so keep your eyes on the lookout for that. Meanwhile here is a picture of the kids. Parker sure loves Paige!!!
