I can hardly believe it is 2010! I was just getting used to writing 2009 and now I will have to start writing 2010! I am a little slow in getting started with posts for the new year but better late than never! There are a few things to post on so this may be a little lengthy!
First, I had set a goal back in December to try and be on the list of the top 20 gym users for the month!! I really worked hard at trying to go 5 to 6 times a week. It was really hard at first getting up at 5 in the morning to go. I had to go this early because of Matt's work schedule, and I decided it would do me some good to get up and get going before the kids woke up. I really struggled the first week because I was so used to sleeping in, but after that I was waking up some mornings without the alarm clock. Some days I am more tired in the afternoon and if I sit still I end up taking a nap, but I think that is alright every once in a while. Well like I said, I worked really hard and went to the gym regularly and I am very happy to say I MADE THE LIST!!!! This morning when I went in, my name was on the list!!! YAY!!! I was so excited, now I am going to set a goal to be on the list every month!! It will be a challenge, but it is really exciting to see my name on the wall.
Along with working out regularly I have set some goals for the coming year. A friend of mine posted about her goals for the year and I liked the idea that if you write a goal down you are more likely to achieve it. So that is what I am doing. One of my biggest goals goes along with the gym, I would like to loose some weight (along with most people this time of year) I had lost a lot of weight after I had Parker and gained it all back with Paige. It is so much harder to loose after I had her. So my goal is to get back to where I was before I had her. Also along with that I want to loose about a third of that weigth before my sister gets married. I don't want to be the "fat" sister!! Some other goals for me to work on regular personal scripture study, eating better, and being more patient with my kids. I would also like our family to work on more frequent family home evenings. I would also like for Matt and I have to have a "date night" at least once a month. It is so easy to get busy with life and not spend time with one another. I really want to
be able to go out with him and have an evening to our selves. Another goal for our family that we are going to be working on for a while, probably the next few years, is getting out of debt. I have been trying really hard to save money grocery shopping and only buying things when we need them. I am building up our storage and that is a great feeling. I know that some of these will be harder to accomplish than others, but I am excited to look at this poat throughout the year and remind myself of the things I need to do. I hope at the end of the year I can look back and check them all off the list!! I hope you all have a great new year and are able to keep some of your resolutions as well!
