School Lunch

The kids summer lunch program has started and my kids could hardly wait. As soon as school was out they were asking when they could go to the schools for lunch. They had to wait a few weeks and they were finally able to go on the 4th of June. Paige was so excited to go that the weekend before she wanted to go and was sad when I told her she had to wait until Monday. She proceeded to get in the van to go to school lunch. We did not see her do this and when we realized she wasn't oputside with the rest of the family we became a little panicked and began searching everywhere for her. We were getting to that scary point of not being able to find her when Matt opened up the back of the van and there she was! She said she was waiting to go to school lunch!! Silly girl, I hope we aren't spending the majority of our summer looking for her!!! Needless to say they kids were over joyed when the day finally came to go to school lunch. They had chicken nuggets, fries, a roll, peaches and milk. Paige ate most of her lunch, including the peaches, which suprised me. I looked over at Parker and his tray was completely empty!! That was a first! HE ate the whole things and he ate it like a growing boy! That was a good sight to see! So we are into our third week of school lunch and playing outside for about an hour before. It is nice to have the kids outside playing for a while instead of sitting in front of the TV all day!
